Birthstone beads from the Pandora range are not only a quick and easy idea, they are quite affordable, too.

If you have a friend born in April that you have ever tried to buy birthstone jewelry for (April’s birthstone is the diamond), you have probably wondered why they couldn’t have just stayed put in that womb for another few weeks, into May! Those of you with friends or relations born in July (the ruby) or September (the sapphire) have probably had the same thoughts. Well, Pandora has solved that problem with their range of alternate birthstone jewelry. Every bead is only AU$39, so we have quartz substituted for diamond in April, and carneol (a beautiful vibrant red stone) substituted for ruby in July. One of the nicest surprises in the Pandora birthstone range is the substitution of Lapis Lazuli for turquoise, for December birthdays. Topaz comes in all different colors, including the melting orange color that amber is famous for.
