We are able to accept payment for orders by Visa and MasterCard. To place your order using one of these credit card payment options you should choose the Credit Card payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process.
We are also able to accept payment using PayPal.To place your order using PayPal, you should choose the PayPal payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process.
Phone credit card details - You can phone your credit card details to us if you do not wish to provide them online. Choose the Phone payment method in the payment method section of the order form when going through the checkout. After you complete the checkout process, you will then need to call Gillett's Jewellers your credit card details to us.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for Australian customers] If you are placing your order from Australia (or you have an Australian bank account) you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for you order. You can use your internet banking (called 'pay anyone') facility to do a direct deposit to the Gillett's Jewellers bank account. If you would like to use this payment method for your order choose the Bank Transfer payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process. After you complete the order you will be given the bank account details that you can then use to perform the bank transfer direct deposit.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia (unless you have an Australian bank account in which case see above) you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for you order. You will need to check with your bank to make sure that they will be able to offer this service to you - Based on our international customers experiences some customers, including customers from the USA and UK have been able to use this payment method - though not all banks offer this service. If they do not offer international bank transfer payments (ie. payments from your bank account to a bank account in another country) - you can use the PayPal version of electronic transfer - see below. To use this method to do an international bank transfer, you will need to contact your bank to have them arrange a bank transfer payment to do a direct deposit to the Gillett's Jewellers bank account. If you would like to use this payment method for your order choose the Bank Transfer payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process. After you complete the order you will be given the bank account details that you can then use to perform the bank transfer direct deposit including the international bank switch code.
Direct Deposit (Electronic Transfer) via PayPal - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia and you would like to make a direct bank deposit for your order, you will first need to sign-up for a PayPal account from PayPal.com . It is free to create a PayPal.com account. Once your PayPal account is active you will be able to make a direct deposit payment for your order by selecting the PayPal payment option when going through the checkout process. You will then be sent to the PayPal.com web site where you will be able to arrange for your direct deposit to be made.
Please note that we are unfortunately not able to accept payment by the paper based international money order or international bank check.
Pay by Phone - You can telephone us to place your order. If you phone us to place your order you can pay by credit card (see the credit cards listed above) or by bank transfer.
For international customers, if you do not have a credit card, you may like to become a PayPal member (http://paypal.com) and make a direct payment from your bank account for your order through the PayPal system.
You simply make a small deposit of 20% (or higher if you wish) when you place your layby and you can then choose the number and frequency of your payments.
For your convenience you can also choose a starting date for your payments based around your pay day.
After your final payment your order will then be shipped to you.

You must enter a full and accurate delivery address where you or your representative will be available to sign for the parcel.
If you are purchasing the jewellery item for a friend or loved one, you can have the parcel delivered directly to your friend/loved one. To do that, please enter your name and address (ie. the person placing the order) in the customer and billing address sections of the order form. Please then enter your friends/loved ones name and address in the shipping address section of the order form. Please note however that your friend/loved one or their representative must be available to sign for the parcel at that delivery address.
If you select courier delivery and you are not present when the first delivery attempt is made, the courier company will make a second delivery attempt and/or leave a note or contact you to arrange delivery.
Courier parcels also have internet tracking numbers which allow you to track the parcels in transit using the internet.
We are not able to deliver orders to a post office box as all orders must be signed for. If you live in a rural area and a post box is the only postal address that you have, please contact us to discuss delivery and we will be able to help you with getting your parcel delivered to you.

All goods shipped are insured against loss and damage whilst they are in transit. Once you are advised by e-mail that your order has been shipped, we guarantee delivery of all items except in cases where the address supplied is incorrect, illegible, incomplete or if the recipient is away or has moved, in which case you will be liable for payment of the purchase price and shipping of the order irrespective of whether the order arrives on time or not at all.

For orders from the USA, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom or Europe those orders can be placed through the PayPal shopping cart on the Gillett's Jewellers web site and the currency charged for the transaction through PayPal can be in either USA dollars, Great Britain Pounds, Euros, Japanese Yen or Canadian dollars. (The payment method will default to the currency that appears on the web site product pages for you. For example if you see US dollar prices or you selected US dollar prices to appear, your payment through PayPal would be made in US dollars.)
For Australian orders and all other international orders (except those placed in the through the PayPal system) such orders will be charged for the purchase price and shipping price in Australian dollars.
Any secondary currencies appearing on our web site or in e-mails are for your convenience and information purposes only. Gillett�s Jewellers do not purport nor guarantee that the currency conversions are accurate as at the time of viewing and do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of any currency conversions.
When an international order is placed (except those placed through the PayPal system), the relevant currency conversion will be performed as at the time of debiting of your credit card by your credit card issuing bank. Your credit card issuing bank performs the currency conversion based on their own currency conversion rate. Gillett�s Jewellers will not be responsible nor liable for the timing or currency conversion rate used by the credit card issuing bank nor any fees charged by the credit card bank associated with performing an international currency conversion.
In the event that a payment is fully or partially refunded to a customer by Gillett's Jewellers, Gillett's Jewellers will process the refund in Australian dollars (except for orders placed through the PayPal system, where an international currency may be used). Where the refunded amount is subsequently converted into an international currency by the credit card issuing bank, Gillett's Jewellers will not be responsible for the currency exchange rate used by the credit card issuing bank. Gillett's Jewellers will not be liable for reimbursing any difference in the currency converted amounts calculated by the credit card issuing bank that arise between the original currency converted payment and any refund of such payment.
We may manually check every credit card order with the credit card issuing bank to ensure that all details given are accurate. Gillett�s reserve the right to refuse to accept any orders that it considers to be suspicious.
For high value orders and for some countries that fall outside our credit card fraud checking network - For such orders we may require that proof of ownership of a credit card be supplied to us. For those orders, we may require that the purchaser fax to us a photocopy of their credit card and driver's licence for proof of identity and ownership of the credit card. We may also request that a purchaser supply their security credit card number. This will only be required if expressly requested by us. Such request will normally be communicated by e-mail.
Stock availability: If your order is approved and we have your product in stock (in your size) we will ship the product to you within a few days using your chosen delivery method. For the delivery options and time frames please see our shipping options section .
If we do not have your product in stock (in your size) we will manufacture it for you and e-mail you to let you know the manufacture time.

Specific Required Dates: If you would like your product by a specified date please include that date in the 'comments' section of the order form. (eg. wedding date or birthday date). If you require your order by a specified date we suggest you place your order as early as possible to ensure that you allow for any manufacture time that may be needed.
If you order a ring, please specify the finger size by clicking on the ring size drop down list on the product page before clicking 'add to cart' to checkout. To see information about how to choose your finger size, please see the Choosing your finger size information.
We will contact you when we ship your order to you with the estimated number of days that delivery will take (together with the courier tracking number if you selected courier delivery).
The manufacture time for some products may range from 2 days to approximately 6 weeks depending upon the product.
To assist you will estimated order time frames we include stock availability information on the web site, of estimated stock availability and any estimated manufacture times as appropriate. Those stock availability messages may be used as a guide, though stock availability may change, and manufacture times may be longer at certain times of the year, such as during November, December and January due to Christmas and Christmas holidays.
All customer's placing orders are deemed to have acknowledged that when placing an order that the ordered product may not be in stock at that particular time and that Gillett's Jewellers may manufacture or arrange for the manufacture by its suppliers of that product to fulfil the order. Unless the customer notifies Gillett's Jewellers of a specified date by which their product must be delivered, the customer will be deemed to accept liability for payment of the product which is to be manufactured.
If you require your jewellery item by a specified date you can e-mail us before placing your order to check the availability of the stock item in your finger size and/or the manufacture time. Please e-mail us with the style number, finger size and date by which you require your item.
Please note that the ring prices displayed on this web site are calculated based on average ring sizes.
Most rings that are ordered are in the average ring size range, though there are some finger sizes that fall outside the average finger size range.
For larger finger sizes, there may be an additional fee to cover the extra metals required to make the larger size required. When you select the finger size that you require for your ring, you will see if an additional fee is applicable. If an additional fee applies that fee will appear next to the finger size. If a larger finger size applies to the finger size that you require, that additional fee will be added to your order value during the checkout process.
It is common practice in the jewellery industry around the world to include a metal stamp or engraving on jewellery products to indicate the metal or metals that the jewellery item is made from. The metal stamp or engraving may be applied to any part of the jewellery item, and may be expressed as a number, symbol, letters or word. For example, items made from 18ct gold may have 750 or 18ct or 18kt stamped or engraved on the jewellery item. Products made from titanium may have an indication such as Ti, TI or Titanium stamped/engraved on them. Sterling silver products may have 925 stamped/engraved on them.
Jewellery items sold by Gillett's Jewellers will include a metal stamp or engraving to indicate the metals used in the jewellery item.
This metal indication provides you with the piece of mind, confidence and reassurance as to the authenticity of the metals used in your jewellery product.
Some jewellery items sold by Gillett's Jewellers may also include a hallmark or brand or logo stamped or engraved on the product. For example, Gillett's Jewellers titanium rings may include 'Gilletts' or 'Gilletts Jewellers' engraved inside the ring or the Gillett's Jewellers logo. Another example, is that Pandora products will have ALE stamped on the product, which is Pandora's authenticity stamp.
Some products sold by Gillett's Jewellers may include a model number or identification code stamped or engraved on the product.
Customers are deemed to be aware and accept that any product purchased from Gillett's Jewellers may include metal, hallmark, brand and/or model reference stamps or engraving on the product. Gillett's Jewellers will not offer an exchange of product or refund on the basis of the inclusion of such stamps or engraving. This limitation does not affect or limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
This information is only relevant for deliveries made outside Australia, except orders sent to the United States.
Please note that for all international orders (orders delivered outside Australia),except orders sent to the United States , you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied by the recipient country's government once the product reaches your country.
There should be no customs duties for products imported to the United States due to the Australian/US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that came into effect on January 1, 2005.
For all international orders except for the United States, all additional charges for customs clearance, import duties and taxes are payable by you. Such charges are not included in the delivery fee or purchase price of Gillett's Jewellers products. We have no control over those charges and cannot determine what they may be. We are not authorised by international governments to charge import duties on their behalf.
Customs duties are not always applied. Each country has its own rules for determining whether customs duties will apply. Some countries only charge customs duties if the parcel has a value over a certain amount. Based on your country's customs rules, it is possible that your parcel will fall below that threshold level.
