The Official War of the Rohirrim Jewellery Collection

Handcrafted in New Zealand. Authorised by New Line Cinema. Five wearable artefacts from the most untold legend of Middle-earth.

Something stirs in the Riddermark. Before Aragorn drew his sword, before Frodo bore the Ring, before the Fellowship was ever assembled — there was Helm Hammerhand, the mightiest king Rohan had ever known. And there was a war that shaped the fate of the entire kingdom for generations to come.

To celebrate the release of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim — New Line Cinema's stunning animated film that arrived in theatres in December 2024 — we are proud to announce the launch of our exclusive, officially licensed jewellery collection, handcrafted in New Zealand by Worth & Douglas, the original licence holders appointed by New Line Cinema for all films in the franchise.

The War of the Rohirrim

Released in theatres in December 2024, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is a sweeping animated epic set 183 years before Bilbo Baggins ever stumbled upon the One Ring — drawing on a chapter of Middle-earth history referenced only in the appendices of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary trilogy. Directed by Kenji Kamiyama — the acclaimed anime auteur behind Blade Runner: Black Lotus — and produced by New Line Cinema and Warner Bros., the film brought to life a story of honour, vengeance, sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit of the Rohirrim.

The tale centres on Helm Hammerhand, the ninth and most fearsome King of Rohan, and the siege of a great fortress that will later become known to all of Middle-earth as Helm's Deep. When the cunning Dunlending lord Wulf launches a devastating assault on the Kingdom of Rohan — seeking vengeance for the death of his father at Helm's own hands — the King and his people are forced into a desperate last stand behind the ancient walls of the Hornburg. Caught in the maelstrom is Héra, Helm's daughter, who must summon a courage far greater than she ever imagined to lead the resistance.

"The story of Helm Hammerhand — of a king who became a legend, and of a daughter who carried that legend forward — is one Tolkien himself called among the greatest tragedies of the Rohirrim."

Narrated through the eyes of Éowyn — the shieldmaiden audiences came to love in the original trilogy — the film stands as both a thrilling standalone adventure and a profound exploration of the lineage and legacy that forged the Rohirrim into the people we encounter centuries later in The Two Towers. It is the first animated film in the franchise since the 1980 Rankin/Bass adaptation, and marked the first theatrical Middle-earth release since the conclusion of the Hobbit trilogy.

Worth & Douglas — Custodians of Middle-earth's Legacy

The partnership between New Line Cinema and Worth & Douglas is as enduring as the story of Middle-earth itself. When New Line Cinema first brought Tolkien's world to the screen with Peter Jackson's landmark trilogy, they sought a craftsman equal to the task of translating its jewellery into physical reality. They found it in New Zealand — in Worth & Douglas, a jewellery manufacturer whose mastery of precious metals and commitment to authenticity made them the natural choice as the official licence holder for the entire film franchise.

Every piece created by Worth & Douglas is cast, cut, and polished by hand in New Zealand — the same land that served as the living, breathing backdrop for Middle-earth on screen. Each item carries an official New Line Cinema authentication tag, distinguishing it from the countless unofficial imitations in the market. This is not merchandise. This is craftsmanship with provenance — jewellery made by the same licence holders who created the iconic pieces for the original Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit.

The War of the Rohirrim collection marks the next extraordinary chapter in this long-standing relationship. Working directly from the visual language of the film — its costumes, architecture, heraldry, and the raw, wind-swept grandeur of Rohan — the Worth & Douglas design team has crafted a collection that feels both deeply authentic to the lore and utterly wearable in the modern world.

Five Pieces. Five Legends.

Each piece in the collection tells a story — of horses that carried riders into legend, of a king who fought bare-handed, of a war that carved itself into the very stones of the Riddermark. Released one at a time, week by week, allowing each piece the reverence it deserves.

Horses of Rohan Necklace & Earrings

The horse is the soul of Rohan — its symbol, its strength, its identity. This pendant and earring set captures the spirit of the Mearas, the great horses of the Riddermark, in precious metal. An opening piece worthy of the collection it begins.

Collection · II

Rohan Helmet Pendant

Rendered in meticulous detail, this pendant echoes the battle-worn helms worn by the Rohirrim who stood at the Hornburg. A talisman of protection — and a tribute to those who did not flinch in the dark of winter.

Collection · III

The Helm Ring

Named for the King himself — Helm Hammerhand, whose very name became the fortress that bears it. This ring is a declaration of belonging to a lineage that refused to break. Bold, commanding, and unmistakably Rohirric in character.

Collection · IV

Wulf Dagger Pendant

Every great story needs its shadow. The Wulf Dagger Pendant honours the film's complex antagonist — a lord driven not by malice alone, but by grief. A striking piece for those drawn to the moral complexity at the heart of the war.

Collection · V

Helm Hammer

The crowning piece of the collection. Helm Hammerhand was said to fight without a weapon — that his bare fists were hammer enough. This pendant distills that legend into metal and meaning. A finale worthy of the king who became a ghost, and the ghost who became a fortress.

Each piece in the collection ships with official New Line Cinema authentication and is presented in bespoke Rohirrim-themed packaging — a collectible experience from the moment it arrives. Available in sterling silver and selected precious metals, with engraving options on request.

Whether you are a lifelong devotee of Tolkien, a collector of official franchise pieces, or simply someone who appreciates fine jewellery with a story worth telling — the full collection is available now.
