Free Shipping to Australia
Gilletts Jewellers offers free shipping for orders placed with a total over $150. Free shipping only applies to Australian residents.
Gillett's Jewellers delivers products worldwide every day, including to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Germany, and many other European countries. However, these are paid services, and Gillett's does not offer a free international postage service.
Choosing your shipping method: When you proceed through the checkout process, you will automatically be presented with the relevant shipping options based on the country included in your shipping address and the value of your order.

Worldwide delivery options;
(outside Australia) Registered International Mail
We use Australia Post insured international registered mail. In accordance with our secure shipping commitment, you will be required to sign for your order upon delivery. Registered Mail delivery times for deliveries outside Australia are approximately 8 to 20 business days (see the Shipping Information section below for order timeframe information).
The International Registered mail parcels do not have tracking numbers so they do not allow the tracking of parcels on the internet. If you would like to track your parcels online, choose the FedEx shipping option.
Australia Post eParcel and eParcel Express Courier delivery - Delivery to all Australian States
Australia Post eParcel delivery is an efficient and reliable courier delivery system that operates through the Australia post network with delivery across all Australian states.
All eParcels must be signed for. If you are not available at the shipping address when the Australia Post courier attempts delivery, a signature card will be left in your letter box, and your parcel will be delivered to your local post office. You can then take your signature card, together with identification, to your local post office to collect your parcel.
For your peace of mind, eParcel and eParcel Express offer internet shipment tracking. Australia Post eParcels and eParcel Express can be tracked online at http://www.auspost.com.au. This allows you to track your parcel as it travels from our store to your doorstep. Your eParcel or eParcel Express tracking number will be emailed to you when your parcel is sent to you.
You can choose between the standard eParcel or eParcel Express options. eParcel Express offers faster delivery times than eParcel.
Please note that the estimated delivery time displayed is not a guarantee of delivery within the specified time frames. Your order timeframe also depends on the stock availability of the item you order and the time of day you place your order. Refer to the stock availability sections below for information on order time frames.
eParcel Express uses the Express Post network. eParcel Express typically takes 1 business day to arrive for most metro areas and 1-3 business days for all other Australian areas (estimates are based on the date of dispatch from our store).
eParcel uses the Australia Post network. eParcel takes 2 to 6 business days for delivery (estimates are from the date of dispatch from our store).
Shipping information
All goods shipped are insured against loss and damage while in transit. Once you are advised by e-mail that your order has been shipped, we guarantee delivery of all items except in cases where the address supplied is incorrect, illegible, incomplete or if the recipient is away or has moved, in which case you will be liable for payment of the purchase price and shipping of the order irrespective of whether the order arrives on time or not at all.
If you are not available to sign for the parcel: If you select courier delivery and you are not present when the first delivery attempt is made, the following will occur:
- Australia Post eParcel and eParcel Express will leave a note for you and return the parcel to your local post office for you to collect.
- All deliveries can now also be tracked with the Auspost App.
Courier parcels come with internet tracking numbers that let you monitor the parcels in transit online. After you receive the email containing your courier's internet tracking number, you can also call the courier company directly to inquire about the estimated delivery date.

Please note: The delivery times mentioned above are solely for delivery purposes. This means that these time frames represent the approximate period from when your order is dispatched from our store to when you receive it. We do not guarantee that you will receive your order within the stated time frames from the moment you place your order.
Stock Availability
The order time frame depends on the current stock availability of the item(s) that you wish to order and the delivery method that you choose.
Not all products are available in stock at all times.
For most products on the website, the current availability is shown on the product page with the heading 'Crafting Time' in the products details. Products that read 'in stock' means that the product is currently in stock.
For rings: If you are interested in a ring(s), the stock availability depends upon the particular finger size that you require. We are unable to keep all rings in stock in every finger size at all times. The availability message for the ring will provide an indication of the estimated manufacturing timeframe if the ring is not in stock in your finger size.
Once you place your order, we will confirm the stock availability of your ring in your required finger size. If your ring needs to be manufactured, we will contact you by email to advise the estimated manufacturing time frame should it be different to what is listed in the product's details. Please note that unless the item states in stock all manufacturing times are estimates and in most cases are complete before the time quoted.
You are welcome to check the stock availability of your ring(s) before you order if you wish. To do that, simply send us an email with the stock number(s) of the ring(s) that you like, together with the finger size that you require. (Please note, except for ladies engagement rings - We recommend that you have your finger size accurately measured by a local jeweller before placing your order (as some ring styles may not be resized due to the nature of the metals used or the ring design - for example titanium, tungsten, stainless steel, Lord of the Rings rings and celtic rings may not be resized).
Once your order has been dispatched to you, you will receive e-mail confirmation together with your courier tracking number (if you selected a courier delivery option).
Wedding Dates, Anniversaries and Birthday Gifts:
If you require your jewellery item by a specified date please include that required date in the comments section of the order form. If you are ordering a ring, we encourage you to contact us before placing your to ensure that your ring in your required finger size will be available within your required time frame. To do this, please email us with the style number, finger size and date by which you require your ring.
If you are ordering an item for a birthday or anniversary gift, we suggest that you check the availability message for the item (see the availability heading on the product page) and choose items that are currently listed as being in stock.
If you are having a birthday or anniversary gift delivered to the gift recipient, please ensure that you choose Australia Post eParcel or eParcel express delivery for deliveries within Australia. That way, if the gift recipient is not at home to accept delivery, they will be able to collect the parcel from their local post office.

Payment methods
There are several trusted and secure payment methods available for placing your order with Gillett's Jewellers.
You can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard), by PayPal, by electronic bank transfer or by more convenient methods such as ApplePay and GooglePay or ShopPay if you have a shopify account. We also accept Zip Payments for receive now pay later orders.
You can provide your payment information by your preferred method from these options:

We accept payment for orders via Visa and MasterCard. To place your order using one of these credit card options, select the Credit Card payment method in the payment section of the order form during the checkout process.
We are also able to accept payment using PayPal. To place your order with PayPal, please select the PayPal payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for Australian customers] If you are placing your order from Australia (or you have an Australian bank account), you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for your order. You can use your internet banking (called 'pay anyone') facility to do a direct deposit to Gillett's Jewellers' bank account. If you would like to use this payment method for your order, choose the Bank Transfer payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process. After you complete the order, you will receive the bank account details that you can then use to perform the bank transfer direct deposit.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia (unless you have an Australian bank account; in which case, see above), you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for your order. You will need to check with your bank to ensure they can offer this service to you. Based on our international customers' experiences, some customers, including those from the USA and UK, have been able to use this payment method, though not all banks provide this service. If your bank does not offer international bank transfer payments (i.e., payments from your bank account to a bank account in another country), you can use the PayPal version of electronic transfer; see below. To use this method for an international bank transfer, please contact your bank to arrange a payment to Gillett's Jewellers' bank account for a direct deposit. If you would like to use this payment method for your order, choose the Bank Transfer payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process. After you complete your order, you will receive the bank account details needed to perform the bank transfer direct deposit, including the international bank switch code.
Direct Deposit (Electronic Transfer) via PayPal - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia and wish to make a direct bank deposit, you must first sign up for a PayPal account at PayPal.com . Creating a Paypal account is free. Once your account is active, you can make a direct deposit payment by selecting the PayPal option during checkout. You will then be directed to the PayPal.com site to arrange your deposit.
Please note that we are unfortunately not able to accept payment by the paper based international money order or international bank check.
Delivery Address
You must enter a full and accurate delivery address where you or your representative will be available to sign for the parcel.
If you’re buying the jewellery item for a friend or loved one, you can have the parcel delivered directly to them. To do this, please enter your name and address (i.e., the person placing the order) in the customer and billing address sections of the order form. Then, enter your friend’s or loved one’s name and address in the shipping address section. Please note, however, that your friend, loved one, or their representative must be available to sign for the parcel at that delivery address.
If you select courier delivery and are not present when the first delivery attempt is made, the courier company will make a second delivery attempt and/or leave a note or contact you to arrange an alternative delivery.
Courier parcels also have internet tracking numbers, which enable you to track them in transit online.
We cannot deliver orders to a post office box, as all orders require a signature. If you live in a rural area and a post box is your only postal address, please get in touch with us to discuss delivery, and we will assist you in getting your parcel delivered to you.

In these instances, you will be responsible for the payment of the purchase price and shipping costs of the order, regardless of whether the order arrives on time or not at all.

Charging of Credit Cards
For orders from the USA, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, or Europe, those can be placed through the PayPal shopping cart on Gillett's Jewellers' website. The currency charged for transactions through PayPal can be in either US dollars, Great British Pounds, or New Zealand Dollars. (The payment method will default to the currency displayed on the website product pages. For example, if you see US dollar prices or you selected US dollar prices to appear, your payment through PayPal would be made in US dollars.)
For Australian orders and all other international orders (except those placed through the PayPal system), these orders will be charged for the purchase price and shipping cost in Australian dollars.
Any secondary currencies appearing on our website or in emails are provided for your convenience and informational purposes only. Gillett's Jewellers does not purport or guarantee that the currency conversions are accurate at the time of viewing and does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of any currency conversions.
When an international order is placed (except those made through the PayPal system), the relevant currency conversion will occur at the time your credit card is debited by your credit card issuing bank. Your credit card issuing bank conducts the currency conversion based on its own conversion rate. Gillett's Jewellers will not be responsible or liable for the timing or the currency conversion rate applied by the credit card issuing bank, nor for any fees charged by the credit card bank in relation to international currency conversion.
If Gillett's Jewellers fully or partially refunds a payment to a customer, the refund will be processed in Australian dollars, except for orders made through the PayPal system, where an international currency may be used. If the credit card issuing bank subsequently converts the refunded amount into an international currency, Gillett's Jewellers will not be responsible for the exchange rate applied by the bank. Furthermore, Gillett's Jewellers will not be liable for any discrepancies in the amount converted by the credit card issuing bank, which may differ from the original payment amount and any resultant refund.
We may manually verify each credit card order with the issuing bank to ensure that all provided details are accurate. Gillett reserves the right to refuse any orders it deems suspicious.
For high-value orders and for some countries that fall outside our credit card fraud checking network, we may require proof of ownership of a credit card to be supplied to us. For these orders, we may need the purchaser to fax us a photocopy of their credit card and driver's licence as proof of identity and ownership. We might also ask that the purchaser provide their security credit card number, but this will only be required if explicitly requested by us. Such requests will usually be communicated via e-mail.
What happens when you order
You will receive an email confirming your order within 24 hours of placing it.
When you receive your order will depend on:
- Your order payment is clearing.
- Stock availability: whether we have your product in stock (in your size) and
- If your order is custom made in which case will require the allowable manufacture time (noted in the items details for 'Manufacture/Crafting Time"
- The delivery method you selected.
Payment Clearing:
- Credit cards: All credit cards must be approved before shipment (i.e., your credit card issuing bank approving your purchase). We will contact you if there are any problems.
- Bank Transfer: You must make the bank transfer payment, and your payment must clear (this takes an average of 2 weekdays for bank transfers).
- Layby: Your layby must be fully paid off.
- PayPal/PayPal eCheck: Your PayPal payment or eCheck must clear.
Stock availability: If your order is approved and we have your product in stock (in your size), we will ship it within a few days using your selected delivery method. For delivery options and timeframes, please refer to our shipping options section.
All items show their availability in the item details under the manufacturing or crafting time. If the item does not indicate "inStock" and requires manufacturing, the specified time will apply. Most items will be completed before this estimate, but we allow this time as a general guideline.
Specific Required Dates: If you would like your product by a specified date, please include that date in the 'comments' section of the order form (e.g. wedding date or birthday date). This can be done within the cart before checkout. If you need your order by a specific date, we suggest placing your order as early as possible to allow for any manufacturing time that may be necessary.
If you order a ring, please specify the finger size by selecting the ring size from the drop-down list on the product page before clicking 'add to cart' to checkout. To find information about how to choose your finger size, please refer to the Choosing your finger size information.
We will reach out to you when we dispatch your order, providing the estimated delivery time in days, along with the courier tracking number if you have chosen courier delivery.
Complete information and suspicious orders
Gillett's Jewellers reserves the right to refuse any order if it suspects that the order is fraudulent or questionable in nature.
No order will be accepted unless complete information is provided, including full addresses, an email address, and phone numbers.
You must include your email address in your order; otherwise, we will not be able to contact you.
Stock Availability
Gillett's Jewellers stocks hundreds of jewellery products to provide its customers with the widest online jewellery selection possible.
If an ordered product is not in stock in your size, Gillett's Jewellers will arrange for the manufacture of that product whenever possible. We will email you to inform you of the expected manufacturing time. If the product is no longer available, we will notify you and refund your money as needed.
The manufacturing time for some products may vary from 2 days to about 6 weeks, depending on the product and the complexity of the manufacturing process.
To assist you with estimated order time frames, we include stock availability information on the website, along with estimated stock availability and any expected manufacturing times as appropriate. These stock availability messages may serve as a guide; however, stock availability may fluctuate, and manufacturing times may be extended at certain times of the year, particularly during November, December, and January due to Christmas and holiday periods.
Customers placing orders are considered to have acknowledged that the ordered product may not be in stock at that time, and that Gillett's Jewellers may manufacture the product or arrange for its manufacture through suppliers to fulfil the order. Unless the customer informs Gillett's Jewellers of a specific date by which their product must be delivered, they will be deemed to accept liability for payment of the product to be manufactured.
If you need your jewellery item by a specific date, please email us before placing your order to confirm the availability of the stock item in your finger size and/or the manufacturing time. Kindly provide the style number, finger size, and the date by which you need your item.
Ring Prices, Average Finger Sizes and Large Finger Sizes
Please be aware that the ring prices shown on this website are based on average ring sizes.
Most rings ordered fall within the average ring size range, although some finger sizes do fall outside this range. For larger finger sizes, an additional fee may apply to cover the extra metal needed for crafting the larger size. When you select your required finger size for the ring, you'll see whether an additional fee is applicable. If a fee does apply, it will be displayed next to the finger size. If a larger finger size is needed, the additional fee will be added to your order total during checkout.
Hallmark and Metal Identification Engraving
It is a common practice in the jewellery industry worldwide to include a metal stamp or engraving on jewellery products, indicating the metal or metals from which the item is made. The stamp or engraving may be applied to any part of the jewellery item and can be presented as a number, symbol, letters, or a word. For instance, items made from 18ct gold may bear stamps or engravings of 750, 18ct, or 18kt. Products crafted from titanium might have indications such as Ti, TI, or Titanium stamped or engraved on them. Sterling silver products typically feature 925 stamped or engraved on them.
Jewellery items sold by Gillett's Jewellers will feature a metal stamp or engraving to indicate the metals used in the jewellery piece.
This metal indication offers you peace of mind, confidence, and reassurance regarding the authenticity of the metals used in your jewellery product.
Some jewellery items sold by Gillett's Jewellers may also feature a hallmark, brand, or logo that is stamped or engraved on the product. For instance, Gillett's Jewellers titanium rings might include 'Gilletts' or 'Gilletts Jewellers' engraved inside the ring or showcase the Gillett's Jewellers logo.
Some products sold by Gillett's Jewellers may include a model number or identification code stamped or engraved on the product.
Customers are deemed to be aware and accept that any product purchased from Gillett's Jewellers may include metal, hallmark, brand and/or model reference stamps or engraving on the product. Gillett's Jewellers will not offer an exchange of product or refund on the basis of the inclusion of such stamps or engraving. This limitation does not affect or limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
Import Duties
This information is only relevant for deliveries made outside Australia, except orders sent to the United States.
Please note that for all international orders (orders delivered outside Australia),except orders sent to the United States , you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied by the recipient country's government once the product reaches your country.
There may be customs duties applicable for products imported to the United States due to changes to the Australian/US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that are set to take effect in 2025.
For all international orders outside of the United States, any additional charges for customs clearance, import duties, and taxes must be paid by you. These charges are not included in the delivery fee or the purchase price of Gillett's Jewellers products. We cannot control or determine what these charges might be. We are not authorised by international governments to charge import duties on their behalf.
Customs duties are not always applied. Each country has its own rules for determining whether customs duties will apply. Some countries only charge customs duties if the parcel has a value over a certain amount. Based on your country's customs rules, it is possible that your parcel will fall below that threshold level.

Terms and Conditions of all orders
The content of all Gillett's Jewellers policies included on this website, along with any specific terms agreed upon between Gillett's Jewellers and the customer, form part of the terms and conditions for all orders placed through this website. You (the customer) are considered to have read all the terms and conditions, including all policies displayed on this website, and are regarded as having accepted them.
Legal Jurisdiction
All orders made through a Gillett's Jewellers website and all incidental agreements and matters are governed by the laws of Australia and the State of Queensland.
Gillett's Jewellers are committed to the provision of high quality products.
Guarantee:
We assure that our products will arrive in new condition, free from damage or defects in craftsmanship.
If the product was damaged or faulty in its craftsmanship at the time of delivery to you (the customer), you may return the product within 30 days (of the delivery date) and Gillett's will refund the product price or replace the item.*
*Note: We reserve the right to exchange, repair or correct a fault/defect rather than providing a refund. This guarantee is subject to some exceptions that are outlined below.
This guarantee does not affect or limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
This guarantee is valid for 30 days from the date of delivery to the customer. Refunds will not be given after 30 days of the date of delivery of the item to the customer (except as required by law).
To claim a refund the instructions below (and those subsequently provided by Gillett's Jewellers staff) must be followed. See the section below headed 'Procedure for claiming a refund and returning products and return shipping instructions'.
A refund will not be given in circumstances that include:
- if the product is not returned within 30 days of the date of delivery to the customer (except as required by law);
- if the returned product is not received back in its original new and unused condition;
- if the item received back from the customer has been damaged (damaged after it was delivered to the customer);
- if the product once inspected by our jewellers is found not to be faulty or damaged;
- if we have specially made the product at the customer's request (custom made items and quoted items) unless the product was damaged or faulty at the time of delivery to the customer in which case the guarantee will apply;
- if the product has been engraved at the customer's request (a personalised engraving) (more info) unless the product was damaged or faulty at the time of delivery in which case the guarantee will apply;
- if the product is or becomes scratched (more info);
- if you do not like the texture of the product (eg. satin finish) (We can help you to arrange the texture you prefer;
- if the product was a gift and the gift recipient does not like the product or does not wish to keep the product (An exchange of product may be possible
- if there is a small variation in the product specifications (eg. a natural variation in opal colour or a variation in width of less than 0.5mm );
- if you have changed your mind and you no longer wish to keep the product;
- if you do not like the general design/style of the product or if once you receive the product you decide that you would prefer a different design/style );
- if your circumstances have changed and you no longer require the product;
- if you have found and/or purchased a product elsewhere.
Before claiming a refund, please review these guarantees and exceptions to refunds. If one of these exceptions applies a refund will not be provided and the products may not be returned. If the goods are returned by the customer when one of these exceptions applies, the product(s) will be sent back to the customer, with the shipping costs charged to the customer. This guarantee does not affect or limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
Personalised engraving: Please note that the guarantee will be voided and a refund will not be available if you request your product to be engraved with a personalised message. Also, if you have a personal engraving added to the product after it has been delivered to you, the guarantee will be voided and a refund will not be available.
Original condition: Original new and unused condition means that there are no missing stones, damage to any part of the product, scratches, marks or any wear whatsoever. We do not sell used items and will not accept any item with any indication that it was used or worn or damaged. In such cases, the item will be returned to the customer and the customer will be charged for the full purchase price, any shipping (and any customs related fees) incurred in delivering the product to the customer in the first instance and for the return shipping of the product.
Texture: This guarantee does not apply to the texture applied to a product (eg. a satin finish texture). A refund will not be given if you do not like the texture. If you would prefer a different texture to the texture you ordered, you can contact us and we can provide instructions as to how you can have the texture changed to your preferred texture (A fee may apply for having a new texture applied).
Gifts: This guarantee will not apply if the product is a gift and the recipient does not like the type or specifications of the product, or if they do not like its overall appearance. A refund will not be issued for gifts in this situation. However, Gillett's Jewellers, at their sole discretion, may agree to offer an exchange of the product under certain circumstances. Please note that an exchange of a gift product for another item is not guaranteed, and Gillett's Jewellers will make their final decision on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, we are unable to exchange custom-made rings or jewellery.
Product specifications: Please note that depending on the particular product, unless otherwise specifically communicated to the customer, the item delivered will be of the same design, though may or may not be the exact item pictured on the web site (for example because multiple items in the same design may be in stock; because a new item will be manufactured or a ring needs to be manufactured in the customers specific finger size.) When the exact same item is not delivered, the same design of product will be delivered.
Please note that when jewellery is manufactured, due to manufacturing techniques—including hand-making or hand-finishing of some items or custom-made jewellery—variations may occur from item to item. The jewellery specifications outlined on this website are based on the specifications of the item pictured, measured, and described using jewellery measurement equipment available at the time, and/or information provided by our suppliers and manufacturers. Variations such as small differences (e.g., differences of less than 0.5mm) in the width and/or depth of items, as well as variations in gemstone colour (e.g., natural variations in the colour of gemstones such as opal), and/or gemstone size may occur from item to item. Whenever possible, we will keep variations between items to a minimum. This guarantee does not apply to minor variations between items, and a refund will not be given for such differences.
Design/style of item:The guarantee is for the craftsmanship of the product and that the product is free from damage or faults.
The guarantee is not a guarantee of your satisfaction with the general appearance or the type of design/style of the product.
Detailed product descriptions and pictures are provided to allow you to decide whether you like the type of design/style of the products before purchasing them.
A refund will not be given if you decide that you do not like the style or design of the product once you receive it or you decide that you would prefer a different design/style.
For example a refund will not be given if once ordering a bezel set ring you decide you would prefer a prong set ring; or if you order an 8mm wide ring and you later decide that you would prefer a 6mm wide ring; or if you order a titanium ring with a yellow gold inlay stripe and you later decide that you would prefer a white gold ring with a yellow gold inlay stripe; or if you decide that now that you've seen a grain set diamond wedding ring, you'd prefer a channel set diamond wedding ring or a plain gold wedding ring.
Scratches: We do not guarantee that jewellery items will not scratch. The above guarantee does not apply to scratches on the jewellery item. Please note that all types of jewellery can scratch. Some scratches may accumulate as soon as the item is worn, and there is no minimum time frame before which scratches cannot appear. Occasionally, some scratches may be visible at the time of delivery, most likely having occurred during transit. Such scratches will not be sufficient grounds to claim a refund under this guarantee. The guarantee does not apply when scratches on the jewellery item become apparent. A return of a scratched item will not be accepted, and a refund will not be available due to scratching or for scratches that may occur in the future.
Wrong product delivered:If the product delivered is not the correct product, in that it is not the product that was ordered because either the wrong product has been delivered, or an error was made in the style/design of the product, Gillett's will correct the error by rectifying it or exchanging the product for the correct product. A refund will not be available in this circumstance.
Procedure for claiming a refund and returning products and return shipping instructions:
Before claiming a refund, you should check the guarantee/refund exceptions outlined on this page.
To claim a refund under this guarantee you must first notify us within 30 days by phone or e-mail to advise us of the problem with the product.
If a refund is being sort, we will advise whether a refund is possible (Note: all refunds are subject to inspection of the goods by our jewellers once the customer returns the item).
If a resize or remake is required, we will advise whether it is possible and any applicable resize or remake fees.
If an exchange of a gift item is sort we will advise whether an exchange will be allowed.
We will then send you return delivery instructions via email. Those return delivery instructions must be followed.
Return shipping fees will not be payable by Australian customers when the guarantee applies and they are seeking a refund, repair, or replacement product.
Return shipping fees will be payable by Australian customers when they are seeking an exchange of the product and there is no fault with the original item. For example, when exchanging a ring for a different finger size or when exchanging a gift product for a different type of product. Please note that international customers will be responsible for return shipping fees, and the return instructions are important to minimise your costs for the return delivery fees and any applicable customs fees.
The product must be returned to Gillett's Jewellers within 30 days from the date it was delivered to the customer.
If a product is returned without following these instructions; if a product is returned without contacting us first; if it is returned outside the 30 day period, or if a refund will not be given because one of the exceptions applies, a refund will not be provided - If the goods have already been returned in one of these four circumstances, the products(s) will be sent back to the customer with the shipping costs charged to the customer.
Customers are responsible for all customs-related fees or duties imposed on the returned parcel. If international customers follow the return delivery instructions, customs duties will typically be minimised or avoided in most cases. Gillett's Jewellers will not be liable for any customs duties or taxes.
Once we receive the returned product we will contact you to confirm receipt.
Wrong finger size ordered by customers:

If you supply to us an incorrect finger size in your order this guarantee will not apply and a refund will not be available.
We will however make any suggestions to you regarding resizing the ring to the required size. Gillett's at their discretion may agree to manufacture a new ring for you or resize the ring for you (if it is possible to resize the particular ring style to the size required) for a fee.
Exchanges for a different finger size are not available for custom made rings. If your ring was custom made for you, or you purchased a ring from a quote, or you ordered a ring through the 'design your own titanium ring' section, an exchange with another finger size will not be available nor will a refund be available.
You must notify us within 30 days of the delivery date as to the need to have a ring resized/remade in a different finger size. If we are able to exchange the ring or resize the ring, we will then provide return delivery instructions for you. For international customers, it is important to follow the return delivery instructions to minimise your costs for delivery and any customs fees.
Please note: If we agree to resize/remake a ring for you a resize fee, or if a new ring needs to be made, a remake fee will be payable if you ordered in the incorrect finger size. The remake fee varies according to the ring design, though to give an indication, for most wedding rings the remake fee will be approximately 25% of the rings original price.
Also, depending upon the difference between the inaccurate finger size supplied by you and the actual finger size required there may be a small additional charge for a larger size to cover the extra metal required.
If the ring has a personalised engraving - A resize may be possible (if the ring can be resized to the required size) though a remake of a ring is not possible if the original ring has been engraved by Gillett's or another jeweller with a personalised engraved message.
If a new ring needs to be made for a customer, the original ring must be returned in its original, undamaged, unworn, unused condition.
You must prepay and be responsible for the shipping costs of returning the product to us. Gillett's will not be responsible for any shipping costs or customs duties/taxes related to the exchange of products. (If customs duties are applied on the parcel they will also be at your cost : note that following our return delivery instructions will minimise or remove any customs duties).
We are not able to provide a refund under the guarantee and then make a new ring in the correct finger size. If a refund is sort and then a new ring ordered, a resize/remake fee will be charged.

The above guarantee will not apply if an order is cancelled before you receive the product. The above guarantee will not apply if a layaway is cancelled (see layby cancellation terms).
Gillett's reserves the right not to accept a cancellation and to proceed with the delivery of the product. Gillett's may, however, use its sole discretion to accept a cancellation as it sees fit and to provide a refund or partial refund as it deems appropriate. Cancellation fees may apply.
The following provides general guidelines for cancellations scenarios:
- If a product has been dispatched that order may not be cancelled and a refund will not be given.
- Cancellations of custom made jewelry items will not be accepted and a refund will not be given.
- A refund will not be given when a previous attempt to cancel the order before it was dispatched was made.
- If a customer attempts to cancel the order within one week of the order date a cancellation fee of between 10-50% may apply and the balance may be refunded, at Gillett's discretion.
- If a customer attempts to cancel an order more than one week after the order date the cancellation may be refused by Gillett's and a refund denied, or a cancellation fee in the vicinity of, or higher than that shown above may be applied with the partial refund of any balance amount given, at Gillett's discretion.
Orders that the guarantee applies to: Subject to the above, this guarantee applies exclusively to orders received through a Gillett's Jewellers web site and telephone orders.
Payment methods
There are several trusted and secure payment methods available for placing your order with Gillett's Jewellers.
You can pay bycredit card (Visa, MasterCard), by PayPal, by electronic bank transfer or by more convenient methods such as ApplePay and GooglePay or ShopPay if you have a shopify account. We also accept Zip Payments for receive now pay later orders.
You can provide your payment information by your preferred method from these options:
- You can place your order online using your credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard).
- You can place your order online using payment through PayPal.com (through PayPal we accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard)
- You can place your order online with payment by Bank Transfer
- You can place a ZipPay order online with regular scheduled credit card payment instalments.

We accept payment for orders via Visa and MasterCard. To place your order using one of these credit card options, select the Credit Card payment method in the payment section of the order form during the checkout process.
We are also able to accept payment using PayPal. To place your order with PayPal, please select the PayPal payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for Australian customers] If you are placing your order from Australia (or you have an Australian bank account), you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for your order. You can use your internet banking (called 'pay anyone') facility to do a direct deposit to Gillett's Jewellers' bank account. If you would like to use this payment method for your order, choose the Bank Transfer payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process. After you complete the order, you will receive the bank account details that you can then use to perform the bank transfer direct deposit.
Bank Transfer (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia (unless you have an Australian bank account; in which case, see above), you can make a bank transfer (direct bank deposit payment) for your order. You will need to check with your bank to ensure they can offer this service to you. Based on our international customers' experiences, some customers, including those from the USA and UK, have been able to use this payment method, though not all banks provide this service. If your bank does not offer international bank transfer payments (i.e., payments from your bank account to a bank account in another country), you can use the PayPal version of electronic transfer; see below. To use this method for an international bank transfer, please contact your bank to arrange a payment to Gillett's Jewellers' bank account for a direct deposit. If you would like to use this payment method for your order, choose the Bank Transfer payment option in the payment method section of the order form during the checkout process. After you complete your order, you will receive the bank account details needed to perform the bank transfer direct deposit, including the international bank switch code.
Direct Deposit (Electronic Transfer) via PayPal - [for non-Australian customers] If you are placing your order from outside Australia and wish to make a direct bank deposit, you must first sign up for a PayPal account at PayPal.com . Creating a Paypal account is free. Once your account is active, you can make a direct deposit payment by selecting the PayPal option during checkout. You will then be directed to the PayPal.com site to arrange your deposit.
Please note that we are unfortunately not able to accept payment by the paper based international money order or international bank check.
Charging of Credit Cards
For orders from the USA, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, or Europe, those can be placed through the PayPal shopping cart on Gillett's Jewellers' website. The currency charged for transactions through PayPal can be in either US dollars, Great British Pounds, or New Zealand Dollars. (The payment method will default to the currency displayed on the website product pages. For example, if you see US dollar prices or you selected US dollar prices to appear, your payment through PayPal would be made in US dollars.)
For Australian orders and all other international orders (except those placed through the PayPal system), these orders will be charged for the purchase price and shipping cost in Australian dollars.
Any secondary currencies appearing on our website or in emails are provided for your convenience and informational purposes only. Gillett's Jewellers does not purport or guarantee that the currency conversions are accurate at the time of viewing and does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of any currency conversions.
When an international order is placed (except those made through the PayPal system), the relevant currency conversion will occur at the time your credit card is debited by your credit card issuing bank. Your credit card issuing bank conducts the currency conversion based on its own conversion rate. Gillett's Jewellers will not be responsible or liable for the timing or the currency conversion rate applied by the credit card issuing bank, nor for any fees charged by the credit card bank in relation to international currency conversion.
If Gillett's Jewellers fully or partially refunds a payment to a customer, the refund will be processed in Australian dollars, except for orders made through the PayPal system, where an international currency may be used. If the credit card issuing bank subsequently converts the refunded amount into an international currency, Gillett's Jewellers will not be responsible for the exchange rate applied by the bank. Furthermore, Gillett's Jewellers will not be liable for any discrepancies in the amount converted by the credit card issuing bank, which may differ from the original payment amount and any resultant refund.
We may manually verify each credit card order with the issuing bank to ensure that all provided details are accurate. Gillett reserves the right to refuse any orders it deems suspicious.
For high-value orders and for some countries that fall outside our credit card fraud checking network, we may require proof of ownership of a credit card to be supplied to us. For these orders, we may need the purchaser to fax us a photocopy of their credit card and driver's licence as proof of identity and ownership. We might also ask that the purchaser provide their security credit card number, but this will only be required if explicitly requested by us. Such requests will usually be communicated via e-mail.
